GES Harmonized Prospectus for SHS 1: Download PDF Here

By | September 24, 2025

The GES Harmonized Prospectus is the official list of approved items that every student entering Senior High School Form 1 (SHS 1) in Ghana must bring. It was introduced by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to standardize requirements across all SHSs and reduce unnecessary costs for parents.

Categories of the SHS 1 Prospectus (2025)

The prospectus is divided into three groups:

  1. Boarding Students Prospectus
  2. Day Students Prospectus
  3. General Items (for all students)

Why the Harmonized Prospectus Matters

  • Fairness: All SHS 1 students in Ghana use the same approved list.
  • Cost reduction: Parents avoid unnecessary spending.
  • Transparency: Prevents schools from requesting extra unapproved items.
  • Standardization: Makes admissions easier for both students and administrators.
