How To Access 2024 BECE Results Portal
To access the 2024 BECE Results Portal, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Head over to the official WAEC Ghana website at https://ghana.waecdirect.org/
Step 2: On the website, navigate to the “Result Checker” section
Step 3: Type in your index number in the required field
Step 4: Choose “BECE School/Private” as your examination type.
Step 5: Select “2024” as your examination year .
Step 6: Enter the serial number found on the reverse side of your Scratch card.
Step 7: Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card
Step 8: Confirm your index number and examination year to ensure accuracy ².
Step 9:Click “Submit” and wait for your results to display in a popup window
BECE Result Interpretation
The BECE uses a 9-point grading system:
- Grade 1: 90-100% (Excellent)
- Grade 2: 80-89% (Very Good)
- Grade 3: 70-79% (Good)
- Grade 4: 60-69% (Credit)
- Grade 5: 50-59% (Pass)
- Grade 6: 40-49% (Weak Pass)
- Grade 7: 30-39% (Fail)
- Grade 8: 20-29% (Very Poor)
- Grade 9: 0-19% (Poor)
Aggregate Score
Calculate your aggregate score by adding the grades of your best 6 subjects.
Interpretation
- Excellent (Grades 1-2): You’re a high achiever!
- Good (Grades 3-4): You’ve done well.
- Pass (Grade 5): You’ve met the minimum requirements.
- Fail (Grades 6-9): You may need to retake or seek remedial classes.
